If my experience, having played a majority of the 10" speaker'd amps, the Princeton Reverb sounds like a low-volume, one-speaker Vibrolux Reverb, which sounds like a similar-volume, two-speaker Super Reverb, and etc, etc. They can do that, of course, but why have an amp set to a sound that you don't like? Hypothetical question, of course. In any case, my earlier point is that I don't find either amp particularly ice-picky or even drastically different. They feel different, though, which is to be expected. Nonetheless, the amps still sound very similar, all else considered IMO. The later Vibrolux amps were beefed up to 40 watts, though (mine, for instance). It's not just the speaker models & combinations / cabinets that make the difference with these amps. VR also has a smaller power transformer, compared to the VV, BR & SR which have the same PT. Ignore what I said about the reverb aspect.Ĭarausius wrote:The VR has a smaller output transformer, usually around 35W, the BR has 40W OT same size as the Blackface Vibroverb (different ohms) & the SR has a 50W OT same as a blackface / silverface & some brownface Bassmans. But, that's just me and my opinion/experience.Įdit: Oops, didn't notice the "reverb" designation after Bandmaster. They handle the pushing of air and the dispersal of volume differently, though, as would a 2x10" vs a 4x10". Personally, I don't find the VR to be significantly quieter than a Super Reverb. All in the same vein, of course, of Blackface/Silverface Fenders with 6L6 tubes. Bandmasters came with 2x12" and no built-in reverb, and naturally they sound a bit different. Historically, they've often put more powerful speakers (either wattage, efficiency, or sensitivity) in the 2x10 Vibrolux versus the 4x10 Super (a popular setup for these are four 15 watt CTS AlNiCo speakers), but speakers changes plenty so even that is hard to make That in and of itself changes things quite a bit. All things the same (health of components, same tubes, same speakers), a Vibrolux Reverb and Super Reverb should sound remarkably similar. There are a lot of variables that can come into play when comparing amps. I think that's a pretty unfair assessment. They also sounded significantly less shrill than the Supers I have been playing. Fender Amp Field Guide does not have a schematic for the Vibrolux Reverb, oddly.Īlso, I played a couple of the Bandmaster Reverb and experienced a great deal of satisfaction, even though they were silverface. So I would have guessed that a smaller tranny would saturate sooner, and be harsher sounding. ![]() If there is anyone who feels the same way, do you know what the secret is? I have two amps that I have changed the trannys to heavier/better, and that has, in both cases, sweetened the sound on them, and made them less treble-y. While similar, I know that the Vibrolux has smaller transformers than the Super, which is why it is significantly quieter (even if you play it through a 4x10 cab) even though both have 2 6L6s, GZ34 rectos, etc etc. I kid, of course- there are a lot of great sounding supers out there, but they are very, very bright. Does anyone share my opinion that Vibrolux sound great, and Supers are ear-piercing, hearing destroying torture machines? ![]() This setting is only equipped with front-wheel drive and continuously variable automatic transmission. It's an open area with not much to do but fight, and by the time you get to Pulse, you're already sick of fighting. There are other areas you can go to, but it's mainly just to do bounty hunting quests. ![]() Sure you're "exploring" going by the dictionary definition of the word, but there is not sense of adventure or wonder to really call it "exploring."įFXIII opens up when you're 85% of the way through the game. Maybe you'd find a chest with a Goho-M in it or a golden chest at best. I dunno, P3 and P4's procedurally generated dungeons were incredibly boring and it's not like you'd ever discover a new town or anything by going off the beaten path. In fact I would say the maps of games like Dissidia and Lost Odyssey are largely superfluous since they don't have much in the way of hidden locations. I think a world map is a useful tool that should always be an option for developers, but it is far from essential. I never got to Pulse and I hear that that is the point when the world of XIII opens up so I can't really speak to that game. I never got the sense of wonder or mystery from the world of FFXIII, but I bailed on that game 20 hours in. I would say P3 and P4 manage a sense of exploration through their use of large, randomly-generated dungeons. I mean the game is largely a march down a preordained pilgrimage road. Also the areas in FFX had plenty of stuff off the beaten path. I would say that FFX managed to add some mystery to the world by creating a second language and hiding additional dungeons on the 2D map. You certainly don't need a world map to have a sense of exploration. Setting the compression level to 0 will make no compression for the NetCDF output. The value of “level” will override the default setting of 0 from the configuration file or the environment variable MET_NC_COMPRESS. The -log file option directs output and errors to the specified log file. The -dump path option may be used to dump the entire contents of the PrepBUFR file to several ASCII files written to the directory specified by “path”. This option is provided to speed up testing because running the PB2NC tool can take a few minutes for each file. Sourced entirely from 25-38 year old vines on our Stags Leap estate, the Petite Sirah was sourced exclusively from block 9, long known as one of the winery’s highest-performing blocks that delivers each year with deep blue and red fruit we liken to Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Petit Verdot, known for its color, floral flavor intensity and tannin profile, is also sourced from our estate vines. Cabernet lots were hand-selected from a singular expanse of our estate vineyards that features thin, rocky soils in its upper reaches, giving way to finer-grained loamy soils at its floor. The tutorial will help you understand how OpenSCAD operates you will learn basic shapes construction and valuable functions to prepare your file for 3D printing. After the installation of OpenSCAD is completed, you’re ready to start with our tutorial. The dialog window will give you all the necessary instructions the installation should be a reasonably quick process. Once the download is completed, click on the file to open it. It’s supported by MS Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux/ UNIX. You can learn more about the full potential of this great tool in our quick introduction guide to OpenSCAD on our Blog. The native file format to save OpenSCAD files is SCAD, which includes solely the generation code and as such is generally way smaller than a regular 3D file as STL. Once the design is finish, it can be easily exported as an STL file, although other formats like OFF, AMF, DXF, SVG, CSG are also supported. At Sculpteo SCAD files are not only supported but you can even edit OpenSCAD variables online, modifying your design on the fly.Īdditionally all the primitive objects are well defined and 3D printable, hence OpenSCAD designs are almost always ready for 3D printing (regardless, in the rare case of any issues with your file, you can alway count on our online tools or resources site). Thanks to the intrinsic precision of a written set of instructions, OpenSCAD is particularly suitable for precision designs like mechanical parts as well as adaptative and/or parametric designs that needs to be modified in complex ways during the modelling process. On top of these two methods, OpenSCAD also supports the use of mathematical expressions (a set of mathematical operator is already built-in), instruction loops, defining custom functions, creating modules for repetitive tasks, and defining variables to create parametric designs. |
